Simon Berwin
Fundraising Committee, Shop
I’m married with four children and five grandchildren, and have been involved in Leeds community life, on and off, since I was 18. This is my third term with LJWB and my first as a Trustee. Over the years, I’ve been particularly involved in fundraising and have enjoyed helping support the organisation’s work in the community.
Professionally, I’ve spent my career in the menswear industry. I initially led our family business, growing it into the UK’s largest importer of men’s suits. More recently, I’ve worked as an agent, advisor and business matchmaker, helping build connections and partnerships between international companies. Outside of work and community involvement, my main passion is football — in particular following Leeds United, through all the highs and lows!
Simon Walton
Simon is Managing Director at Berry’s Jewellers, a family business that has been operating in the North of England for four generations. Simon has been involved with Leeds Jewish Welfare Board for over 20 years in a variety of fundraising roles, and has been a Trustee for many years.
