PLEASE FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIA – THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

Leeds Jewish Welfare Board’s new learning disabilities home “Woodlands House” is ready to receive its new residents!

LJWB and Donisthorpe Hall are delighted that support from the Marcia and Andrew Brown Charitable Trust has supported the relocation of 16 of LJWB’s residents with learning disabilities to their new home, on the site of Donisthorpe Hall.

We were delighted to welcome Chazan Alby Chait to fix the Mezuzah on the front door and deliver a blessing.   Russell Manning, Chairman of LJWB hosted a short ceremony to mark the occasion thanking everyone who has made this possible.

The residents are very excited and looking forward to moving into the new house next month!

Please see below video charting the journey of the residents to their wonderful new home:

Welcome Back To The MAZCC

From Monday 12 April we are delighted to be re-starting some of our activities for restricted numbers of people. As restrictions are slowly being eased, we are following the Government guidance and are able to welcome you back to a few of our regular classes which can be delivered in a safe way with social distancing.

All sessions are bookable only via Vicky Procter on Reception on 0113 2684211. We will also be offering a small café menu for Takeaway or to be served in our outside garden area. Seating is limited and on a first come first served basis – there is no need to book in advance. Payment for activities must be paid, whenever possible, in advance when booking either via card or stamps. Activity Stamps are £2.50. If you can only pay by cash please have the exact money ready. Payment for the Takeaway Café will be taken by the McQues.

If you have any of the main symptoms of COVID 19, fever, constant cough, sore throat or loss of taste and smell, please do not come to the MAZCC. You will be asked to abide by the COVID 19 hand hygiene standards and follow the social distancing guidelines and wear a face covering unless exempt.

Please be assured that all LJWB staff and volunteers are undergoing regular testing.

We are so looking forward to seeing you!
