LEEDS JEWISH WELFARE BOARD IS HERE TO SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY in these challenging times

PLEASE FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIA – THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

For many years now at this time of year we have appealed to the community for support at our annual 1 in 4 Dinner. This year, unfortunately, we are unable to uphold this tradition but instead invite you to support our Wellbeing Services through our Side by Side appeal.

In the last year, despite the challenges, we have not put anything on hold and have continued to provide wide and far reaching services and forged ahead with new initiatives.  We have also seen a massive increase in the need for the work we do to reduce social isolation and loneliness, support those with mental health issues and provide a safety net when there is nowhere else for people to turn. Everyone who has contacted us in the last year has experienced a decline in their mental health and we have received a 50% increase in additional requirements for therapeutic services.

Supporting so many more members of the community through extremely difficult and lonely times in the darkest of day has vastly increased the scope of our work in a time of extreme funding pressure. With demand outstripping resources and with significant cuts to statutory funding, means we have no choice but to turn to our supporters to generate these much needed funds.

Standing Side by Side with our local community is what LJWB has been doing for 143 years.

We are asking you, our supporters, to please stand Side by Side with us to meet the great challenges ahead and DONATE NOW
