BEFRIENDING

Can you spare 1 hour a week?

Based on your skills and needs, we will match you up with the most suitable person to befriend. You will then visit your Befriendee at an agreed time at their home, a local venue, a café, going for a short walk or supporting them at a class at the Mazcc. All you will need is good listening skills and communication skills. Befriending helps to tackle loneliness and isolation. There are many in our community that don’t have the luxury of family or friends and barely see anyone cross their doorstep. We have a long waiting list of people who would greatly benefit from a friendly visit which would not only brighten up their day but also brighten up yours (18+)
