I’m Rafi Sherman (aged 13), and as part of my Barmitzvah celebrations, I wanted to raise money for charity. I’ve decided to challenge myself to run a half marathon – 13 miles for 13 years, and I will be running in memory of my late Grandpa Anthony, who died before I got the chance to meet him, after suffering from bi-polar disorder.
I am hoping to raise £1300 for LJWB, a local charity that provides crucial mental health support to people in my community.
I shall be running the half marathon course around Alwoodley on Sunday 19th June and I really hope you will sponsor me – the training is harder than I’ve ever done before, but I’m sure if we can raise money for this great cause it will all be worth it!
Thank you so much in advance
