Our Children and Families service offers a range of children’s activities at the MAZCC, as well as community support for parents and children on a one-to-one basis.
Our Pregnancy and Pre-school Programme offers play sessions and groups to support pregnant mothers, new babies and parents/carers with children aged 0-5. We provide activities which support your child’s development in a safe and fun environment. From story time and messy play, to yoga and baby massage, we’ve got something for everyone!
For older children our inclusive and additional needs groups provide activities in a supportive environment. You can start your LJWB additional needs journey with our Sunday kids’ group for ages 4-7, and then progress on to afterschool clubs including Lego, ‘Immerse Yourself’, Inclusive Art, or Family Yoga. Our activities are inclusive to encourage a wide range of mainstream and SEND children to attend. Contact us to find out more.
Alongside community centre activities, we provide family support which focuses on providing practical help and emotional support to parents or children who are struggling. This could be due to financial difficulties, behaviour/emotional challenges, or because a child/children have a special educational need or disability. Within our team we have specialisms in Early Years, special education needs and disabilities, and behavioural or social difficulties. We provide support to families with children aged 0-18.
