LJWB are hosting a talk about Bowel Cancer Awareness with Deborah Judah on Wed 25th October. Community member Deborah is also an ambassador for Bowel Cancer UK.

Launch of New Community Allotment

We are delighted to invite you all to the grand opening of the new Community Allotment on The Henry Cohen Campus.

Friday 15th September 1-2pm on The Henry Cohen Campus, Wentworth Avenue, Leeds LS17 7TN

This joint venture will benefit the school, our community and anyone else with an interest in gardening who would like be involved!

We are fortunate to have received funding from Postcode Local Trust (Postcode Local Trust), Tesco Bags of Help, the Co-op Local Community Fund, Wade’s Charity and the Better Business Community Network to make this possible.

Tisha B’ Av Restaurant & Cafe Closures

Cafe / Restaurant notice – Due to Tisha B’Av (annual fast day in Judaism which commemorates the anniversary of the destruction of the First Temple by the Babylonians and the Second Temple by the Romans in Jerusalem)

McQue’s Restaurant will be closed on Thursday 27th and Sunday 30th July in the evening. the café @ the mazcc will be closed all day next Tuesday 1st August, but our supported lunch will still be available. Call 0113 218 5833 for further details.
