Dementia Friends Sessions

Could you been a Dementia Friend? There are over 1 million Dementia Friends across England and Wales who are going out into their communities with a greater understanding of dementia and some of the ways they can help people living with the condition. From being more patient in shop queues, to volunteering, to campaigning for change, Dementia Friends are helping to create communities in which people living with dementia feel more understood and included (www.dementiafriends.org.uk).

It’s really easy to do – take the fist step (a 1 hour awareness session) – LJWB have many dementia friends’ sessions

Due to the high demand we’ve set up a new date for the First Aid Course for adults.

Learn about heart attacks, stroke, bleeds, adult CPR. Using a defibrillator and more.

Tisha B’ Av Restaurant & Cafe Closures

Cafe / Restaurant notice – Due to Tisha B’Av (annual fast day in Judaism which commemorates the anniversary of the destruction of the First Temple by the Babylonians and the Second Temple by the Romans in Jerusalem)

McQue’s Restaurant will be closed on Thursday 27th and Sunday 30th July in the evening. the café @ the mazcc will be closed all day next Tuesday 1st August, but our supported lunch will still be available. Call 0113 218 5833 for further details.

‘Timeout’ Holiday Club

Parents don’t panic! We know that Summer is nearly here but we have the perfect solution for your children. Once again LJWB is excited to present “Timeout” Holiday Club in conjunction with TZ Leeds – running Tuesdays & Wednesdays in August for current reception class & KS1 & KS2. Join us for lots of fun and laughter and an exciting programme of sports, creative activities, themed days and more.

All food, drink & snacks will be provided and the hours have been extended from 9am-4pm!
