1 IN 4 DINNER 2018

Leeds Jewish Welfare Board hosted their biggest dinner since the 70’s on 15 April, with over 330 people attending a fundraising evening with hilarious multi award winning comedian Jason Manford.

The Board focussed on the growing problems of loneliness and social isolation in the community.  ‘At LJWB we are seeing an increasing number of people becoming socially isolated across all age groups’ said LJWB CEO Liz Bradbury.

Loneliness is also on the increase – how we perceive the number and quality of our social connections and our purposeful role in society has a significant impact on how we feel.  Without the intervention of LJWB,  1 in 4 people in our community run the risk of becoming socially isolated.’
