NEW YEAR APPEAL 5778 / 2017
Even a small thing like making or receiving a phone call can make a huge impact on a life.
Your loyal support has allowed us to sustain our high quality provision and further develop our portfolio of services on offer to our community.
Your generosity is crucial to enable Leeds Jewish Welfare Board to continue providing the very best services. We would like to thank you for choosing to support us.
This year as part of our 140th year celebrations, we have developed a number of new services which are now available to our community:
The Listening Line – our trained staff and volunteers call people to offer daily support to those who are isolated and unable to leave their homes as part of the Arnie and Essie Helpline.
1001 Days – this project funded by Simon Cope and the Manny Cussins Foundation, provides a wide range of activities, therapies and support for parents and young children.
Togethere – a new group offering tailored support to children with special needs, developed in partnership with parents and the Manny Cussins Foundation.
The Living Project– this Lottery funded project offers support to those who suffer with dementia and their carers.
The Intergenerational Project – this is a project, where children, older people and people with disabilities meet to work in the newly built community allotment at the Henry Cohen Campus, and take part together in different activities at the MAZCC.
